So I bought I bike to ride to and from school for summer classes and the coming school year. Great idea except that ride back is almost all uphill….
So last night my friend had her first band gig (she was great btw check her out Paulina Faith on facebook, youtube, whatevs I’ll add some info at the bottom) and after the show i was walking out with her and a couple other friends. The area was in downtown denver and is a little more urban than what my suburban white friends are used to. I was walking them to Paulina’s car and this stranger goes,
“Yo dude I gotta tell you something.”
The three ladies were a little suspicious but being a little more used to dealing with these kinds of strangers I just go along with it and asked what’s up.
“Yo you walking down the street with three pretty white woman. Dude you are the man and I gotta high five you for that.”
He high fives me and we all just laughed together. He goes on with,
“I gotta get this guy down to Kay’s or something and have him get some jewelry for his ladies.”
The girls went along with that and looked at my with puppy dog eyes saying,
“Yeah Eric let’s get some jewelry!”
After this they wanted to leave but he went on to ask them for some change. This is how he asks for it:
“Hey before y’all cross the street there, can I ask y’all for 27 cents? I know this brother over here got some money since he walking with three pretty white women but I thought I’d ask you guys first. I’m gonna get me a drink I won’t lie I’m an alcoholic”
“I don’t wanna support a bad,” said Paulina forgetting about the fact that our group just walked out of a bar. The stranger did not fail to mention this haha.
He let’s the girls go and after I wished him a good night, he replies with
“No man, YOU have a good night with them pretty white women.”
All in all, don’t judge a book by it’s cover. If you can greet everyone with a genuine smile you can make some great memories. O yeah and the dude thought I was a muthafuckin PIMP y’aaaalllllll. Haha this made my night.
